We are a well-established nursery specialising in hardy perennials all of which are grown from stock plants in the garden.
Many of our plants are drought tolerant, including hardy geraniums, salvias, sedums, penstemons, and grasses. We are also building up a good selection of pond plants, and our latest development of a large bog garden means our stocks of moisture loving plants are gradually increasing.
Members of any recognised gardening association will receive 10% discount on plants purchased at the nursery on production of a membership card (except on garden open days).

The two acre wild flower meadow should look stunning at the early openings as should the woodland garden. Many choice early flowering bulbs will be at their best including the bluebell wood. The garden also contains a 50m long bog garden leading into two wildlife lakes extending to one acre. The ponds are home to water vole, coots, moor hens, mandarin ducks, and the odd visiting heron, swan(s) or cormorant.
The midsummer opening is planned to fit in with the borders looking their balmy best, covered in bees from our own hives and dragonflies hovering over the ornamental pond in the white garden where visitors can enjoy their tea and cakes relaxing in the summerhouse.
The August opening hopes to show visitors that it is possible to extend the interest in the garden past midsummer and well on into autumn. The potager garden is a joy in late summer when all that hard work is rewarded with an abundance of produce. Run on totally organic grounds, with lots of help from our enormous compost heaps and our small flock of hens.
